Sealing of fresh concrete composite film (FBV) with UGA

The penetration must always be carried out in consultation with the manufacturer of the fresh concrete composite system or in accordance with the specifications of the valid general building inspection test certificate.

We recommend the use of ducts and cable glands with fixed-loose flange designs (e.g. UGA BKD150-K2-F+L, FU-(NA)/F+L etc.). With these products, professional sealing with FBV is basically possible.

Our pictures show an office complex in Chemnitz, which was waterproofed with FBV. Subsequently, an additional core borehole had to be created and UGA with its expert knowledge was able to ensure a professional waterproofing with the product FU-NA/F+L.

Step 1:

With the FU-NA/F+L/W2 product, this can be implemented without any problems. It is important that the sealing adhesive is compatible with the fresh concrete composite foil used.

Step 2:

The fixed flange is then doweled in front of the core bore. The sealing adhesive under the fixed flange prevents water from running behind it.

Step 3:

Now cut an FBV piece to size and place it over the fixed flange. Here, the manufacturer's instructions regarding processing must be observed. The FBV is properly clamped and welded at the outer edges.

Step 5:

As a final step, the loose flange is fitted and professionally grouted in accordance with the FBV manufacturer's instructions. For sealing the cables or pipes, we recommend our FHRK-approved sealing inserts.
For standard pipes we recommend our product series RRD, for sealing cables our product series GPD is suitable.
